I love that this little endeavour is resonating with people, and that so many of you are reading and joining the fun.
Firstly, thanks for being part of Waiting for Olives
It’s hard to believe that this blog has been running for a year already. When it first started, I was full of so much self-doubt. Who would want to read this? Was I just being narcissistic, thinking anyone would care? How would I keep up with regular writing and full time work?
But here we are. Other than some patches of radio silence when life (and death) got the better of me, we’ve done pretty well. I’ve enjoyed testing new skills and getting back into a more creative space. Waiting for Olives is a cathartic space at this stage of life and I’m grateful that all of you have been reading and commenting. It makes me feel that I can share these struggles and joys with other people. And maybe it makes you feel happier or less alone in your own life too.
I’m looking forward to another year of writing. There’s still a few of my 20 books left to go. Infertility isn’t going anywhere yet. Who knows what housing adventures we may be embarking on soon? I’m sure there will be plenty to write about!
