This is the best sunscreen I’ve ever found

About three years ago, I realised that wearing sunscreen everyday was actually an important way to look after my skin. Not only would it help reduce my changes of skin cancer (big plus) but it would also help with those smaller issues like redness, moles, freckles and wrinkles (also a big plus). There was just one problem. I hated sunscreen.

Not just disliked the smell, texture and the ghostly white haze it gave my already pale skin. I also hated the rash that I got from every sunscreen I ever tried. Every summer I felt I only had two choices: burn or suffer from a red rash. The thought of wearing sunscreen everyday, rather than just to the beach felt impossible.

After trying a huge range of sunscreen, I finally found one that not only doesn’t look or feel like sunscreen, also doesn’t give me a rash. Neutrogena Ultra-sheer dry touch 50 SPF is my holy grail of sunscreens. I’ve used it pretty much every day for two years between September and May. I don’t get rashes but I also don’t feel like I’m wearing sunscreen which is great. It works well under make up too which is amazing. I also like that the price is pretty affordable, given I’m wearing it every day for most of the year.

I know that skincare can be very individual, so this sunscreen might not work for you. However, it’s definitely worth a shot if you’ve got sensitive skin and are looking to get solid sun protection. I’ve even got my husband onto it, although it usually only wears it when he’s going to be out all day. Still, he says he likes that it doesn’t feel like sunscreen so it isn’t just me!
