Summer, with all it’s long hot days is peak pool time. A good pair of bathers is pretty much a wardrobe staple but my relationship with bathers has long been complicated. It can be really hard to find bathers that I feel comfortable in, but which also look cute. I used to hate swimming because it always meant feeling daggy in board shorts and rash tops. That changed when a friend pointed me in the direction of Swimsuits for All.
There are so many options! Fun colours and vintage vibes! I love their swim dresses, for something modest but fun and feminine. I bought one of those, along with one of their two piece tankini/skirt sets for my honeymoon. Since then, I’ve taken it for a dip in a few pools and it’s held up really well. The fact that it has built-in support makes me love it even more. I just feel so much more comfortable! Gone are the days of wearing a bikini top for support under my incredibly unflattering rashie/board short combo.
These bathers are a tad more pricey that something you’d grab at Target or Big W. However, I think the range of modest yet attractive options as well as the solid quality are worth it. While they are a US company, they do ship to Australia and often have good sales which can help bring down the price. They also cater for plus sizes, which is certainly something lacking in most swimwear lines.
