Happy Friday folks! I hope your week has been enjoyable and you’ve got something nice to look forward to this weekend.

The leaves are beginning to change here, and some mornings the air is tinged with wood smoke. Wet leaves and wood smoke, especially when combined, are so nostalgic for me. It invokes memories of my grandparent’s home in the country or my own family’s current place surrounded by pine and gum. It says hot chocolate, crackling fires, fuzzy socks and pretty coats.

Do you have any smells that are particularly meaningful? I’d love to know. The link between smell and memory is strong and so interesting.

I’m working on some more book reviews for ya’ll at the moment. A nice mix of Christie, Russian history and Catholic Answers coming your way soon! In the meantime, I thought I’d share five fun things that I’ve found through the week.

Went to this lovely pub in Daylesford the other week. Get yourself a seat in the courtyard in golden hour and you will not be disappointed!

I want to live in this garden. While we’re talking gardens, how beautiful are the ones surrounding this equally adorable home?

Slightly more serious, but I thought this was a great interview trick for wrangling the dreaded pay question.

I know I said I was trying to be a minimalist who loves autumn, but how cute are the new spring styles at Boden! Absolutely love this, this and this! They’re so whimsical!

Okay, I’m not sure I can put this down as ‘fun’, but I have re-read this letter a few times. I find it speaks to my experience of grief and prayer very well.

Have a great weekend!
