I know autumn doesn’t technically start for a few more weeks, but I’m already daydreaming of crisp mornings and falling leaves. These shoulder seasons of autumn and spring are my favourite. They hit the perfect balance of temperature and each bring a striking change in nature. I’ve found a few cosy accessories that just scream autumn.
Oh so snuggly jumpers
I love cosy knitwear. A classic jumper looks so classy with jeans or tucked into a skirt. They’re perfect for layering in the cool morning and evenings, but you can whip them off when the sun gets going through the day. I have plenty of lovely jumpers already, but I can’t help window shopping these gorgeous options here and here.
Classy, classic turtle necks
These are genuinely on my shopping list. I’ve been on the lookout for a simple turtle neck for a while and autumn is the perfect time to add them to the wardrobe. In classic neutrals they’ll go with skirts, jeans and under dresses. I love that you can dress them up, or keep them casual to layer under jumpers and coats for extra cold days. They’re also Audrey Hepburn approved. Need I say more?
Gingham table clothes go beyond autumn
Honestly, I think these would work in any season. They’re so classic and give that cottage-core vibe to your dining room. You could choose a warm neutral or soft yellow check to tap into the colours of the season. I also feel like a soft green would be beautiful. You could use them all year round. While these from Etsy look gorgeous, I am wondering if i could whip up my own. Time for a trip to Spotlight!
