10 easy ways a silk scarf can make your outfit pop

https://waitingforolives.com/?p=491There is nothing so timeless and classy as the silk scarf. To be honest, there are far more than ten ways that a scarf can add pizzazz, but I had to draw the line somewhere.

While I talk about silk scarves in this article, it doesn’t have to be real silk. Cotton or other light fabrics work just as well for all these looks. That said, I do highly recommend real silk if you can find them. I usually search op shops for real silk scarves, as you can often find gorgeous retro silks for under $20. Every single one of my scarves is second hand, and only two of them are polyester blends.

1. Tie it to your bag handle

No need to buy yourself a new handbag! Just add a scarf and it’ll look as good as new.

2. Use it as a headband

Oh so simple, but oh so classy.

3. Tie it as a turban on day three hair

No judgement here, but some days a colourful scarf is exactly what you need for the hair situation.

4. Try a vintage glam look for any windy day

Bonus points if you can throw in a red lip and cat eye sunglasses.

5. Drape it around your neck for no fuss style

Possibly the easiest way to look amazing ever invented.

6. Bring out your inner cowgirl with a bandana tie

Akubra not essential, but highly recommended. Also, I’m in love with these new silver hoops.

7. Tie it in a bow for an ultra-feminine look

This look with a collared button up is just to die for.

8. Get preppy with a shawl knot

The perfect answer to any plain top.

9. Wear it as a belt to add waist definition

The perfect addition to a simple dress.

10. Keep your hair out of your eyes in a chic kerchief

Who said you couldn’t look stunning while doing the spring cleaning?
