To bob or not to bob? That is the question

Every few years, I get the urge to do something to my hair. Something drastic. Last year, I got a fringe. After my wedding, I got a baylage that was totally atrocious. So I bobbed my hair. And I loved it.

My hair has slowly grown past my shoulders since my last significant chop. But now I’m wondering if I should get another bob. That free, swishy, devil-may-car 1920s bob.

Would it be too much with a fringe as well, rocking a ‘French bob’?

Should I grown the fringe out first and the bob it all?

Maybe I should just leave it and keep my current look a little longer than a year?

Of course, I’ve done some inspo scrolling already. These definitely make me want to go for a chop.

The issue, of course, is that most images you see are of movie stars, singers and models. They’re beautiful people with symmetrical faces. Not to mention a hairdresser on hand to fix their flyaways and kinky fringe hairs at the snap of the fingers.

I have neither perfect symmetry nor an at-home hairdresser. Would this ‘french bob’ style look as good on me as it does on other women? Would it suit?

I might end up looking like this concerned young lady.

Certainly, I ‘m at risk of waking up like Miss Clara Bow (sans makeup) nine mornings out of 10:

That is the question for today. Terribly self-serving to write a blog post about it, I know. Sorry to anyone who was hoping for a book review or something more weighty.
